SONG OF THE DAY- JEFF TUOHY- THE DEVIL'S IN NEW ORLEANS

Image
Billboard Award-winning songwriter Jeff Tuohy has released his latest single "The Devil's In New Orleans", ahead of the musician's album Hudson Delta, set for release on August 25th,2021 The album was recorded and mixed in Brooklyn, following a tough year that saw the collapse of his 2019 debut, which gained much-needed radio airplay. The New York-based rock musician has been hailed as "one of the best up-and-coming songwriters in North America". "The Devil's In New Orleans" was once dubbed unsuitable for radio. Tuohy looks into the turmoil of modern society. The track sees soulful vocals spread over soft jazz piano keys. Jeff Tuohy sounds like the cunning wordsmith. as he talks over multi-layered horns and keys accompaniment. The track has dark undertones to a sneering vocalist that bursts into melody on the chorus. Overall, this is a track that will leave you pleasantly surprised, whilst looking over your shoulder. Words by Anselm Anderson SO

Words Were Written by Anselm Anderson for Rambling Man's Reviews  The legendary 80's hard rock band  The Quireboys  returned in April with their new studio album " Amazing Disgrace.  via Off Yer Rocka   Records. The band , featuring vocalist Spike, Guitarists Paul Geurin and Guy Griffin and keyboardist Keith Weir, formed in London, UK in 1984 -originally as The Choirboys- have spent the past 35 years forging a strong fanbase through thier trashy rock 'N 'roll and blues. They were able to find moderate success in the 1980's and 1990's with debut album A Bit Of What You Fancy reaching number 2 on the UK charts with " Hey You" being their highest charting single to date. Original Black Eyed Son  is the second single to emerge from the album, recorded at  Rockfield Studios . The track itself reflects on life on the road as a singer in a band, staying at hotels, and  staying up until late. What the listener gets is four minutes of feelgood
