Country Artist Allison Cipris has recently released the anthemic "She's A Queen". The award-winning songwriter wrote this track about being a woman. Simon Reid helped produce the track in Nashville, TN.
Cipris has gradually built her fanbase through touring national venues and stadiums with her band Country Fresh. That is not to say Cipris hasn't achieved anything on her own. She was recognised in the Songwriters' Hall of Fame, as well as a member of the ASCAP.

Heavy Metal band Rubicon recently released their sophomore album Demonstar via Rock City Music Label on July 16th. The band, hailing from Krasnoyarsk, Russia was formed in the 2000s by vocalist Ivan Bulankov. Following much personnel changes, Rubicon has steadfastly built a fanbase throughout Russia, including a lucrative spot opening for Catharsis.
Demonstar features 11 tracks of progressive dark power metal, recorded and mixed at KIV Records in Moscow by Dmitri Korolev and bassist Dmitri "Belf" Safronov.
The self-titled track "Demonstar" opens with a thunderous rollercoaster of speedy guitars, pounding drums and soaring melodies ala Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. Each song gathers influences from Sci-Fi and Fantasy films, as well as mythical tales. "Neon Gladiators" is one such song based on the Tron franchise. A truly turbocharged effort with fist-pumping riffs and hair-raising solos that will leave your head in a spin. The album continues to evolve with a real feel of an old school 80's metal. Bassist Safranov does an exemplary job with string arrangments and getting the best out of Rubicon's individual skills.
An example is the dark and punishing "Speed Of The Night". An acoustic intro builds into another punishing onslaught of muscular riffs and dazzling keys from Katerina Pobedinskaya adding a fragile tone to Bulankov's towering melodies, and at times, menacing vocals. "Snake King" is full of devious dissonant chords and an aggressive sound that acts as a preemptive strike.
Other highlights include the desolate melodies of "Robot God", the ominous "I, Immortal" and finally, Pobedinskaya shows her versatility as a keyboard player with the anthemic "Line of Dreams"

LA Rockers' Electric Revival has released their latest single "Bad Habit", ahead of a full-length album release.
The single was mastered by legendary icon Ted Jensen ( Green Day, Guns 'n' Roses, The Eagles), who will also master the new album. Electric Revival decided to record "Bad Habit", following the success of their first two music videos, which reached 150,000 streams worldwide. The band have already received airplay, as well as graced the stage at such illustrious venues as Hollywood's Lucky Strike and Universal Bar and Grill.
Electric Revival is a trio formed last year by Vocalist Andreas Amnell and bassist Kostas Siozos following their respective journeys from Sweden and Greece to further enhance their musical aspirations. They soon met keyboardist Lisa Skyler to form the band.
" Bad Habit" is a typical stadium-rousing melodic track with energetic vocals and guitars to get listeners on their toes. The guitar-driven opening lifts the spirits like a car flying towards its destination segues into warm and tender vocals that soar over blistering guitar breaks and solos. British Alt Rock/Punks The Yalla Yallas have recently released their fifth album What It means To be Human. The album was written and recorded between June 2020 and April 2021 at Loom Studios in Yorkshire. It sees the band move away from their political punk style to a more reflective tone with international influences.
Lead Singer Rob Galloway wrote all the tracks with the aid of Brian Eno's Oblique Strategy Cards as he gained inspiration from iconic albums by him and Bob Dylan.
The eight-track EP begins with the empowering melodies of "I'm Alive" with its psychedelic guitar sounds, mesmerising synths and philosophical lyrics. The uplifting charms of "Morning Sun" see Galloway deliver a spoken word performance over thick basslines and guitar grooves that give this track a New Age vibe. The Indian- influenced "Brimham Rocks" sees traditional instruments from the Asian country used such as Tabla and Sitar. "Sonic Carwash" seems like the odd track out on this album, as it takes it in an unexpected turn with an eight-minute jam steeped in heavy guitars trading off one another.
The album takes a more laid back approach with carefully crafted songs designed for the listener to sit back, relax and think about the world they inhabit. This comfortable listen wraps up with the upbeat "Robin Hood's Bay", an introspective tale with acoustic guitars and howling synths.

British heavyweight metallers' Internal Conflict release sophomore album Aporia via PHD today (July 9th) ahead of a slot at Bloodstock Open Air 2021.
The follow up to the 2018 EP Nothing Is Lost sees the Leicester five-piece explore the themes of mental health and society's modern-day struggles with politics, media and the pandemic. The eight-track release continues the band's penchant for progressive elements, brutal breakdowns and dual harsh/clean vocals. Neil Hudson helped mix and master at Initiate Audio and Media studios in Northampton.
"Kingdom Of Anarchy" captures the band's despair and apathy through machine-gun drum blasts,headache-inducing breakdowns and melodic screams that help convey the feeling of loss to kick things off.
The anguish is caught on "Paresthesia" as vocalists Adam Kyle and Matt Hall trade between angry howls and discouraged melodies. The voices amplified by angular rhythms and galloping guitars that march towards their fate.
Internal Conflict emerges with a sound that reflects many peoples' emotions and frustrations at a time when their voices want to be heard. This can be felt on the dark and smouldering "Bleed the Sky", a song that focuses on coming over the odds. Other highlights to take from an album that has its moments are the blistering and maniacal "Hollow Heart", The bone-crunching "Traitorous" and finally, the soaring vocal melodies and harmonic instrumental breakdowns of the powerful "Kayfabe" complete an emotional journey for the band.
Overall, Internal Conflict wears their hearts on the sleeve with this call to arms. The band write evocative tracks with relatable lyrics all through the dual vocals of Kyle and Hall, whose voices act as a conduit for those suffering from loss and depression. The musicians also contribute with thunderous drumming and tenacious syncopated beats to create a welcome acquisition to their appearance on the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Bloodstock this year.

Desert rock supergroup Stoner released their much-anticipated debut album Stoners Rule via Heavy Psych Sounds this past Friday (June 25th).
The trio consists of Kyuss founders- vocalist/guitarist Brant Bjork and bassist Nick Olivieri are joined by drummer Ryan Gut. The seven-track EP was produced by Yosef Sanborn at The Red Cabin in Joshua Tree, CA in October 2020.
The album combines a groovy guitar sound with punk and blues sensibilities. The album has a slow start that gradually descends into desert rock madness.
The opener "Rad Stays Rad" sees Bjork's refined vocals glide over distorted groove-oriented riffs as the mid-tempo takes the listener away. Next up is the more uptempo "The Older Kids" sees the band share their wisdom over Gut's rhythmic drumming skills. The stripped-back "Own Yer Blues" is the perfect blues song that stirs up those old Mississippi tales. "Evel Never Dies" is a heavy punk blaster, as the album finishes with the hypnotic "Tribe/Fly Girl" Overall, Stoner shows the genre does indeed still rule. Bjork and Olivieri recreate that same chemistry they have shared throughout their career with a depth of laid-back tracks with killer riffs that will certainly help relax during these hot summers.

Welsh four-piece Hwdu (Hoodoo) released their debut EP Love Crime on May 28th via Bandcamp.
The Alternative rock act, hailing from Swansea, Wales, consists of Lead Vocalist and guitarist Matt Williams, fellow guitarist and backing vocalist Jonny Rundell, drummer Owen Foote and bassist Gavin Smith. the band blends in-your-face rock with stoner grooves and punk sensibilities.
The six-track EP begins with the infectious lead single "Space Punk", an energetic punk song with driving distorted riffs, and buoyant vocals. This is a good start for fans of Clutch. The hard-hitting "Shit TV" takes a dig at the endless supply of streaming shows available. The aggressive riffs accompany a ruthless, up-tempo alternative rock song. The EP goes in a softer direction with the wistful punk ballad "Jessie" and the pop-rock track "Song for June".
And finally, the dastardly "Counter Esperanto" with ever-contagious grooves, enthusiastic vocals, and intriguing storytelling.
HWDU takes influence from a wide range of punk, stoner, and pop to create six tracks of impactful music destined to make you fist pump, whilst all the time taking a nod to those aforementioned influences.

Country Artist Crystal McGrath has released her latest single "About A Boy" on June 25th. The inspirational activist, podcast host and musician delves behind the topic of female empowerment in this country love ballad.
Mcgrath has performed all over the world with such legends, including George Canyon and Aaron Pritchett. She is a prominent figure in her fights for women's empowerment, hoping her music will deliver positive messages throughout.
"About A Boy" is another example of this with traditional country stylings played over pop sensibilities. McGrath encaptures the true essence of her being with powerful vocals over pop drum beats. The catchy chorus is as effective as the instrumentation is effective. McGrath will appease listeners of country music with her unique and robust timbre.
