The Van Gogh-inspired Michigan rockers Van GoGo return to the scene with " Imaginary Friend", the follow-up to the popular"Big Mistake". The four-piece was first formed in 2008 by veterans, Lead vocalist Nathan Mackinder and guitarist Jason Schaller, who were soon joined by drummer Jonah Brockman and bassist Paxton Olney. VanGoGo soon grew tired with life on the road and soon disbanded. They soon decided 2020 was a great time to forge a comeback and have set about with a slew of single releases.


Imaginary Friend is three minutes of guitar-driven punk with huge choruses and thought-provoking lyrics. A chugging three-chord guitar line explodes into a catchy melody. The song's pounding drums and effective hooks will leave you thinking some friends are not worth the hassle.
Mackinder delivers a powerful vocal performance with a hint of cynicism. He adds about the track, "This song is about betrayal. Some of your worst and most hurtful enemies start out disguising themselves as your best friend, what I call an "Imaginary friend"'.



Van Go Go paints a new picture of betrayal with this exhilarating song.

Album Review: RJ Archer and The Painful Memories- The Cost of a Loving Crisis

Amongst the talented guitarists and bands, RJ Archer and the Painful Memories stand out with their ability to blend old traditional blues with modern values.   This past Friday, The quartet released "The Cost of a Loving Crisis", their third studio album. These ten personal songs are packed into half an hour of modern rock, mixed with country, blues and soul. Produced by Naomi Randall at Half Tom Studios in Cambridge, England, she captures each song with a pitch-perfect ear. Album Review- Gone Savage- Past Life

Gone Savage are an originals rock act from Manchester, England founded by ex-members of Sweet Sin, Dare and Sam Thunder. 'Past Life ' will be the band's debut LP with a yet unconfirmed release date, expected sometime in 2022. The band blend a 1980s radio-friendly sound with a hard rock 90's edge. Gone Savage are bassist Ian Salpekar and lead vocalist Will Glover with a history of guest musicians. Ian Salpekar helped engineer the release with David Radahd- Jones helping mix and produce at Red City Recordings studio in Manchester. Peter Maher mastered the album at Top Floor Productions in London. The twelve-track LP begins with 'Regression', an intro that mixes cuts of tracks with a static sound. 'Icon of Today' kicks things off with a heavy chugging guitar sound and Glover's sweet melodic vocals.
