MR BIG HAS ANNOUNCED THEIR LATEST STUDIO EFFORT IS ENTITLED' TEN' AS A TRIBUTE TO LATE DRUMMER STEVE TORPEY

1980's hard rock act MR. BIG has announced they will release their tenth studio album, aptly titled 'Ten', on Friday, July 12 via Frontiers Music SRL. The album is a tribute to the late drummer Pat Torpey and features eleven new tracks from the quartet. Nick D'Virgilio has come in to replace Torpey as the band put their hearts and souls into making the perfect Blues album, which was produced by Jay Ruston and MR. BIG.
'Ten' promises to be the perfect farewell to the band's adorning fanbase as they wrap up their 'The BIG Finish tour in South America with one final treat. The legendary icons return with this raw, powerful blues album, accompanied by the 1970s-inspired blues rocker 'Good Luck Trying'. a song that sounds influenced by greats like Eric Clapton and Company. It also happens to be the first track on the album,so will surely whet the appetites of long term fans.
Vocalist Eric Martin promises this is something different for the band, Whilst guitarist Paul Gilbert explains the meaning behind the lyrics As about facing challenges in life in good humour.

Interestingly, the album was recorded live in the studio and on the tour bus. Nick Virgilio began his arduous journey as a rock session musician whose CV reads like a who's who of rock with names like Goth icons Tears for Fears and country singer Sheryl Crow amongst coveted names.
Virgilio is also a Prog Rock aficionado with appearances on albums from Genesis, Spock's Beard and BIG BIG Train. Mr BIG recently completed the final leg of their farewell tour, which saw them perform their 1991 album' Lean Into It' in its entirety. MR BIG decided to call it quits following the tragic passing of Steve Torpey from Parkinson's Disease in 2018
The band has spent the past year touring across southeast Asia, including appearing at The Budokan Theatre in Tokyo, Japan.
