THE ANTI QUEENS RELEASES NEW 'DISENCHANTED' ALBUM VIA STOMP RECORDS, UNVEIL NEW 'OVERTHINKING MUSIC VIDEO

Toronto's Punk rock act The Anti-Queens,  have just released their latest LP, "Disenchanted," with an accompanying video for the track "Overthinking". The new album is out now via all digital and physical outlets via Stomp Records.

The Anti Queens. lead by Emily Bones and Valerie Knox have been active for over a decade, intent on taking on the male-dominated music scene with their raw, energetic rock 'n' roll style. The duo hope to bring that enthusiasm to a global audience with their latest release, 'Disenchanted', released last Friday via Stomp Records. Steve Rizun and Dave Baksh are the producers who recorded the album at Drive Studios in Toronto, Canada.


The album tackles the subjects of politics, social degradation and knowing one's self. The release is supported by a new music video 'Overthinking, which Knox directed herself alongside Michael Crusty of  Crusty Media. Mr Crusty also played a role in filming and editing the video with Sarah Mathieson.  Emily Bones and Valerie prove a dab hand at acting as they star in the video alongside Michael, Zoe Mcmillan and the duo's relatives in the form of Ivy Bones and Maggie Knox. The Anti-Queens were founded in 2012 by singer/songwriter Emily Bones. The band has been building a reputation in the international punk rock scene with their deep lyrics, energetic live performances, and captivating shows. They have embarked on extensive tours across Canada, the United States, and Europe, sharing stages with notable acts such as Danko Jones, Streetlight Manifesto, and Protest The Hero. The Anti- Queens have also made festival appearances at Montebello Rockfest, Pouzza Fest and a lot more.

The ANTI-QUEENS remain a symbol of hope and resilience through their hook-laden choruses and pop anthems aiming to help those less fortunate to inspire them with courageous tracks in the guise of L7, The Distillers and other bands of that gist.

  Words by Anselm Anderson Metalcore act Paradis released their hotly-anticipated self-titled debut EP last week, The quintet combines the raw ferocity of the genre's vocals with the dark atmospheric music of black metal, which is a unique approach to the revived genre, once maligned by metalheads all over.
