 Bay Area thrash metal Icons TESTAMENT will release the remastered versions of  The Legacy & The New Order via Nuclear Blast Records. on July 12th. The releases will be available via all digital platforms and on vinyl records, too. The lead singer  Chuck Billy states in a press release the reasons behind such a bold move were

, "When The Legacy and The New Order were first recorded we were new and had limited resources to record the albums being a young band. Now, with the remastering, fans will hear the albums in their signature sonic onslaught they were intended to be heard."



Testament is considered one of the ' undisputed titans of thrash metal'.  The band first emerged in 1983 from the iconic Bay Area and soon became known as one of the definitive acts of the genre with a series of records released each year from 1987 through 1990.


"Both The Legacy (1987) and The New Order (1988) were inducted into Decibel Magazine’s prestigious Hall Of Fame, alongside albums from Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Motörhead. Revolver included The New Order on their list of 14 Thrash Albums You Need to Own.

 Testament continues to work on their next studio album. During the tour, the band will perform an “old-school set” celebrating the forthcoming remastered reissues of their landmark first two albums, The Legacy and The New Order."

 

Fans can get an early sense of the album with the release of  'Over The Wall' from The Legacy (Remastered 2024) and 'Into The Pit' from The New Order (Remastered 2024. Both versions were remastered by Justin Shturtz at Sterling Sound via singles from each of the albums.

 Each track brings to life the band's speedy thrash metals, double bass drums and tenacious screams of lead vocalist Chuck Billy in those early days. 


The Legacy was remastered by Justin Shturtz at Sterling Sound. It will be available digitally and on 180G vinyl in red and white swirl with black splatter (limited to 1500 worldwide). The release includes alternate cover artwork and gatefold packaging with new liner notes as well it includes an oversized booklet with never-before-seen images.

An alternative metal band from Vila Real, Portugal, In We Fall, is known for creating a distinct and exotic sound through a mixture of alternative metal, progressive metal, and grunge. The band recently finished recording their debut full-length album entitled Inner Self which will be released on December 13, 2024. EP Review: Saint Diablo Embraces the past on "The Reckoning"

  Words from Anselm Anderson Nu-Metal is making a return with a bang. The latest band to embrace the genre that mixed down-tuned guitars with mixing desks and aggressive vocals about personal struggles and social anxieties is Virginia-based sextet,  Saint Diablo. Today, the Latin Americans release their latest four-track EP 'The Reckoning' via Eclipse Records.  The band consists of lead vocalist Tito Quinones, guitarist Justin Adams, bassist Zach San Pietro, drummer Anthony San Pietro, and percussionist Awesome Ray Ray. It has released two full releases to date, including 2015's critically -acclaimed Devils, Horns and Halos. The Reckoning  is no exception as the band delivers four sizzling tracks of apoplectic rage, thunderous riffs and catchy choruses to set themselves loose on the metal world.
