SPV/STEAMHAMMER NEWS: FINNISH METALLERS' FIRE ACTION JOINS THE LABEL

Finnish metal heavyweights Fire Action have inked a new contract with renowned metal label SPV/STEAMHAMMER RECORDS


"We are super excited to start working with such a legendary record company as Steamhammer", says Fire Action founding member Juri Vuortama. "After a 45 minute chat about 80s and early 90s Metal with label head Olly Hahn - via landline of course - I was 9112 percent sure that SPV/Steamhammer is the best possible base for Fire Action", he continues with a reference to the band's final independence release, 2020's "9112".

 

"I have nothing but a huge respect towards SPV/Steamhammer, they are definitely one the greatest labels with legendary releases, and I find it unreal to be on the same label with one of my all time favourite bands, Running Wild. I am honoured to be a part of their great roster", states lead singer Pete Ahonen.

 

Before Fire Action, singer Pete Ahonen was already a well-known metal figure around the world, thanks to his bands Burning Point & Stargazery with a great catalogue of worldwide releases.

 

Head of Steamhammer Olly Hahn adds: "Fire Action's metal blade balances on the barbed wire between 80's Hair Metal such as Ratt, Stryper, Vinnie Vincent Invasion and Dokken, and era's Speed & Thrash metal like King Diamond. I have never heard something like this before and I'm sure that after the release of the new album the band will be a favourite not only for media people but most important for all hard music lovers with taste "

 

Expect the new album coming in autumn 2024 later this year. More info will be revealed shortly.

Eclipse Records News: IN WE FALL signs exclusive worldwide deal with the legendary Metal Label

An alternative metal band from Vila Real, Portugal, In We Fall, is known for creating a distinct and exotic sound through a mixture of alternative metal, progressive metal, and grunge. The band recently finished recording their debut full-length album entitled Inner Self which will be released on December 13, 2024. EP Review: Saint Diablo Embraces the past on "The Reckoning"

  Words from Anselm Anderson Nu-Metal is making a return with a bang. The latest band to embrace the genre that mixed down-tuned guitars with mixing desks and aggressive vocals about personal struggles and social anxieties is Virginia-based sextet,  Saint Diablo. Today, the Latin Americans release their latest four-track EP 'The Reckoning' via Eclipse Records.  The band consists of lead vocalist Tito Quinones, guitarist Justin Adams, bassist Zach San Pietro, drummer Anthony San Pietro, and percussionist Awesome Ray Ray. It has released two full releases to date, including 2015's critically -acclaimed Devils, Horns and Halos. The Reckoning  is no exception as the band delivers four sizzling tracks of apoplectic rage, thunderous riffs and catchy choruses to set themselves loose on the metal world.
