PHOTO CREDIT: PRESS WORDS BY ANSELM ANDERSON American Metalcore outfit Lost For Life is set to release their debut LP " Don't Let It Consume You" on February 26th via Dead Serious Recordings. The band were first formed last year by former For The Fallen Dreams vocalist Dylan Richter and ex-Wilson singer Jason David Spencer. This was the first time I had heard of either musician, so I was intrigued about the album. They have yet to set foot in a studio to record this album, which makes it more interesting to listen to. The outfit has a modern edge, reminiscent of late 2000s metal bands of the time, experimenting with unclean and melodic dual vocals. aggressive breakdowns and lyrics based on relationships and mental health This ten-track LP doesn't miss out on these ingredients. EP REVIEW- THE YALLA YALLAS- WHAT IT MEANS TO BE HUMAN

British Alt Rock/Punks The Yalla Yallas have recently released their fifth album What It means To be Human. The album was written and recorded between June 2020 and April 2021 at Loom Studios in Yorkshire. It sees the band move away from their political punk style to a more reflective tone with international influences. Lead Singer Rob Galloway wrote all the tracks with the aid of Brian Eno's Oblique Strategy Cards as he gained inspiration from iconic albums by him and Bob Dylan. The eight-track EP begins with the empowering melodies of "I'm Alive" with its psychedelic guitar sounds, mesmerising synths and philosophical lyrics. The uplifting charms of "Morning Sun" see Galloway deliver a spoken word performance over thick basslines and guitar grooves that give this track a New Age vibe. Words by Anselm Anderson The Black Vultures are a new name in the rock world. I am always excited to receive music from a rock act with potential, and these four have plenty of potential. The band hails from South Wales and are set to release their new single "Treat Me Like An Animal" next Friday, November 4th. The track is one of three singles set for release over the next few months before releasing an EP early next year. "Treat Me Like An Animal", an energetic and upbeat rock anthem, is a light-hearted look at being in a bad relationship. The song was recorded at Unit 13 in Tredegar by local producer Tom Williams and mastered by Chris Peet at North House Studio in Ebbw Vale. The Black Vultures are an amalgamation of the quartet's favourite bands: Black Sabbath and Them Crooked Vultures.
