Album Review: Healthy Junkies-Listen To the Mad

Words by Anselm Anderson Independent Label Banana Recor ds presents the veterans of pop-punk , Healthy Junkies, the popular quartet from London, cordially invite you to ' Listen to the Mad' , their latest LP released last week. The fourteen-track album fuses '90s pop-punk choruses with grunge-era riffs, incorporating psychedelic rock and goth elements. Established in 2010, the band was created by French vocalist Nina Courson and guitarist Phil Honey-Jones to promote greater awareness of mental health, which is reflected in their name. The duo soon added bassist Dave Whitmore and drummer Dave Gaut to build a nationwide fanbase, which included supporting some of punk's notable names, as well as festival appearances and in print publications. They even appeared in a Sky Arts documentary entitled " The United Kingdom of Pop" It wasn't long before American DJ Rodney Bingenheimer took notice, propelling them to new levels of exposure. Country Metal Starlets Cody Parks and the Dirty South signs to Frontiers Music SRL Sister label BLKIIBLK Records

Today, Nashville’s country rockers Cody Parks and the Dirty South officially signed with Frontiers Label Group via BLKIIBLK . To mark the occasion, the band dropped their new single “Snake Shaker.” This continues a streak of impressive signings by the label since its inception last year, following the acquisitions of Megadeth , Cro-Mags, and Biohazard. Song Review- Outlaws and Moonshine- Pills 'N' Alcohol

  Single Review by Anselm Anderson Rising Southern Rockers' Outlaws and Moonshine  are back with a message about demons and vice on the new single 'Pills and Alcohol. The follow-up to 'Hillbilly Rockstars' is a raucous three minutes of guitar-driven Southern rock. Formed in 2014 by the VanVolkenburg brothers- Beau (vocals) and bassist Chris, the duo are joined by , Richie Wilkinson (guitar, backing vocals), Mark Oaldon (guitar, vocals) and Eric Piper (drums).  The band comments the track is about feeling like you have found peace because you divulge in your inner demons and vices. The single starts with the cries of   "Far from Me to glamourise cocaine" over a simple, but effective riff. The song builds in tempo before changing to a catchy chorus. The song's addictive refrain of  " I love it" finishes with a salacious guitar solo for an energetic anthem for rock music from the swamplands.
