EP REVIEW- OPHELIA'S EYE- FIGHT FOR US

Words by Anselm Anderson Swiss modern metal heavyweights Ophelia's Eye have unleashed a tantalising three-track EP called  Fight For Us , as an appetiser for their much-anticipated LP. The Swiss quintet has decided to release three songs that are close to their hearts, telling a short story about what they have to offer the world. The five-piece formed in the 2010s under various pseudonyms, including Project Penny and Red Fire Dragon , before settling on the exotically named Ophelia's Eye, based on a character in the E.L.A Hoffman novel The Sandman .  Fight For Us combines harsh vocals and ripping guitar play, and its lyrics serve as an escape through music from the struggles of everyday life. The title track, " Fight For Us," begins with an all-out musical assault on the ears, featuring raging guitar leads, earth-shattering blast beats , and deathly growls that sound like an act on a mission. Today, Nashville’s country rockers Cody Parks and the Dirty South officially signed with Frontiers Label Group via BLKIIBLK . To mark the occasion, the band dropped their new single “Snake Shaker.” This continues a streak of impressive signings by the label since its inception last year, following the acquisitions of Megadeth , Cro-Mags, and Biohazard. Based in Oakland and originally from Half Moon Bay , Corso has spent decades immersed in the region’s punk and hardcore underground. This past Friday, March 13, 2026, he dropped his latest EP, Elevate . The four-tracker blends 90's punk with power pop . The tracks are melodic with plenty of punchy choruses. For fans  of bands like Hüsker Dü and The Pixies . All tracks were written and produced by Corso himself. Arriving nearly four years after Lethal Limits’ self-titled debut, Elevate shows improvements with shades of Thin Lizzy-style guitar swagger and heavier 90s grunge , all while keeping focus on the  choruses.
