Guitarist John 5 Announces Dates for his First Ever Solo Tour of the UK

Apart from a few shows in 2016, this is John’s first real tour across these shores. For over 30 years, JOHN 5 has been one of the most in-demand guitar players on the planet. John has shared stages and recording studios with Rob Zombie , Marilyn Manson, David Lee Roth, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Meat Loaf, Dolly Parton , and more, and is now a member of Mötley Crüe . As a long-term fan of the guitar maestro, I am really excited about this and about what his shows will be like. Since 2011, John has released over a dozen solo albums highlighting his unique style of playing that has entertained and mesmerised audiences around the world.  In 2025, John 5 released his latest album, which was the critically acclaimed “Ghost” – released in October 2025. EP Review- The Support Band- Oceans of The Moon

Words by Anselm Anderson English Songwriter Chris Riley of The False Poets has been busy this year with two lengthy releases from his side project entitled The Support Band.  I have chosen to review the shortest of the two Oceans of the Moon , released in May via Nice Mind Records. The Five-Track EP clocks in at One hour and three minutes and sees Riley team up with experimental noise maker Whitevanperil . The spacey release is an appetiser for the debut LP Imitations, released in June. Oceans of the Moon  is a giant step away from the '60s-influenced folk of The False Poets. Instead, it takes the listener on a crescendo of instrumental melodies entwined with blues, folk, and ambience, which will delight fans of Pink Floyd and Tangerine Dream. The echoes of washed-up waves awaken our senses on the opener 'Oceans of the Moon (Remix), which excites in evoking the sounds of early Pink Floyd.
