Song of The Day- Disconnected- King of The World

  French Metal act Disconnected has released their latest single 'King of the World', ahead of their new album We Are Disconnected ', due out on Friday, April 1st. The track was recorded at Studio Caverne in Paris and mixed by Jelly Cardarelli at his Darvault studio in France. 'King of The World' captures all the rage and emotion felt against people with a superiority complex. The harsh vocals scream over jagged guitar leads and pummeling double-blast beats. The Frenchmen create a sonic blast of dark musical compositions, melodic choruses, and extensive guitar solos. Album Review- Gone Savage- Past Life

Gone Savage are an originals rock act from Manchester, England founded by ex-members of Sweet Sin, Dare and Sam Thunder. 'Past Life ' will be the band's debut LP with a yet unconfirmed release date, expected sometime in 2022. The band blend a 1980s radio-friendly sound with a hard rock 90's edge. Gone Savage are bassist Ian Salpekar and lead vocalist Will Glover with a history of guest musicians. Ian Salpekar helped engineer the release with David Radahd- Jones helping mix and produce at Red City Recordings studio in Manchester. Peter Maher mastered the album at Top Floor Productions in London. The twelve-track LP begins with 'Regression', an intro that mixes cuts of tracks with a static sound. 'Icon of Today' kicks things off with a heavy chugging guitar sound and Glover's sweet melodic vocals. New York Thrashers' Extinction A.D is set to unleash the chaotic " Culture of Violence" , this Friday, March 18th via Unique Leader Records. The album is the first release for the record label and the follow up to 2018's ' Decimation Treaty'. The band formed in 2013, releasing two full-length studio efforts and an Ep, as well as earning support slots to such luminaries like Suicidal Tendencies, Municipal Waste, Testament and Obituary. The ten-track blends the intensity of modern metal with the aggression of 80's thrash, and the emotions of 90's thrash metal. Norwegian Stoner rock act Kryptograf has released their sophomore effort, the spellbinding,  The Eldorado Spell, via Apollon Records. The four-piece have released the follow up to their 2020 self-titled debut. The music takes the listener back to the seventies' heyday of huge riffs and mesmerising vocals that combines folk, stoner, doom rock and psychedelia to create a fresh new sound. The ten-track LP was produced, mixed, and mastered by Ivor Sandey and recorded at Solsolett Studio 2020. "Asphodel" opens the album with its slow tempo and chunky guitar sound sets the precedent for the remainder of the album.  Next up is "Cosmic Suicide", the track's aggressive guitars and catchy vocals make it a hit with many new fans. German Psychedelic Blues act Sound of Smoke have released their first full-length LP, titled Tales  via Tonzonen Records. The seven-track release is a follow up to debut EP Eleutherumania. The band, hailing from Freiburg, Germany, consist of lead vocalist Isabell Bapte, guitarist Jens Stover, bassist Florian Kiefer and drummer Johannes Braunstein. The album blends blues, 70's psychedelia and soulful vocals to create a fresh retro sound. The LP begins with the Billie Holiday cover "Strange Fruits", Bapte does the song justice with a sultry and tender timbre over distorted guitar breaks that reverberate like a songbird on a summer's morning. Next up is "Witch Boogie" with a riff like Norman Greenbaum's 'Spirit in The Sky". Bapte's deep vocals soothe over thunderous drums and bassline that roll along like Bapte's vocals on this track.   Austin Rockers Cowboy Diplomacy is set to release its new single 'Dark Days' this Friday, Feb 18th. The song was inspired like so many, by the Covid-19 Lockdown. The track focuses on finding brightness and light during dark times. The follow-up to 'Easier When I'm Stoned follows similar struggles of finding hope during challenging times. Cowboy Diplomacy is a southern rock and blues band, hailing from Austin, TX. They have quickly established themselves as 'One to Watch' with several award nominees and features in local magazines in their hometown.     Alt-rockers   Van Go Go have recently released a new single and video for "Watch It Burn" . The track's guitar-driven rock is punchy and energetic with a strong message about moving on from a toxic situation. The catchy pop choruses and huge riffs are as catchy as the video, inspired by Marvel Comic's Ghost Rider. Lead singer Nathan MacKinder says of the inspiration behind the track. "With "Watch It Burn", we really wanted to put together a straight-ahead rock song with power guitars and booming drums, the type of rock song we all grew up with that a kid can learn to play in his basement and blast at maximum volume.” He continues, "Outwardly "Watch It Burn" may sound like it's about giving up, but it's more about moving on from a toxic situation.
