EP REVIEW- ANTI-CLONE- HUMAN

Masked Nu-Metal act Anti-Clone has returned after a four-year hiatus with a new EP Human. Recorded at Red City Recordings in Manchester, England by David Radahd-Jones, the four-track EP is a follow-up to 2016's 'The Root of Man'. Following a break in 2018, The band are back with a brand-new look and sound.

'Human' looks at recent events in a fireball of aggressive and raw metal. The EP starts with the self-titled track 'Human'. a neck-cracking juggernaut of industrial metal. The hostile vocals rage over thick guitar riffs and an eerie electronic sound. Next up is the equally menacing 'Punish Me'. Vocalist Clone' sounds like an unstable Cory Taylor as he juxtaposes hollow screams and pop melodies. This track is the more commercial of the four on this release.

The band seek to emulate Nu-metal tendencies with modern metal to produce a balance for fans of those genres. 'End of The World' sounds like a less unstable Marilyn Manson with dark melodies and intense musical breakdowns. 'Spiteful' is a fistful of intensity with pounding drums. crunchy guitars and vocals that strike you like a bullet train. The brutality and power of the vocals lay bare the exact feelings of the band on 'Human'. The music matches that rage as the sound reach decibel levels.

Overall, 'Human' is a mini-explosion of pure, unadulterated rage and pulverising metal that is difficult to avoid for listeners who like that type of music.

EP Review: Virtue in Vain-Nothing is All I Am

CoverArtwork Courtesy of San Pr Words Written by Anselm Anderson Today marks the final chapter of an emphatic trilogy by British Metalcore Heavyweights , Virtue in Vain . Nothing is All I Am ' is the third instalment exploring human emotions and psyche.  The trio began their journey in 2015 with their debut EP,  For All You Know is the Mask I Wore ,  focusing on the loss of identity, before 2019's   Dusk//Dawn looking at the consequences of a terrible night out, whilst 'Nothing is All I Am ' focuses on rebuilding a fractured mind. The trio of lead vocalist Hywel Thomas, guitarist Mason Williams, and drummer Daniel Bryant hail from South Wales deliver another dose of metalcore that hits like a sledgehammer to the head. The band replicates what many other British bands of the genre do, but they bring a story behind their music. Their emotional cries blend with powerful riffs and down-tuned instrumentals that resonate long after the music has stopped. Their...
