Punk trio Lilith's Army celebrates signing with Independent Label Criminal Records, releasing their latest LP, on March 28th.

Hailing from Northampton, England, the trio comprises vocalist/guitarist Sylvie Studente, bassist Tommy Mayo, and drummer Steve Sherwood. They blend lo-fi punk with grunge and metal, citing influences from L7 and Nirvana. "Doll" features 13 tracks of new material and re-recordings of previous releases. The album has a fresh, boisterous sound, boasting catchy pop-punk choruses and edgy riffs told from a personal perspective on heartbreak, social anxieties, and mental health. Lillith's Army aims to provide an alternative to the punk scene. The trio developed a strong fanbase over the years after a guest slot at the highly sought-after Glastonbury Festival, with support from Total Rock and Kerrang!

Let's get on with the review!

The tongue-in-cheek song "Eat My TV" kicks off with a jab at social media and current pop culture. The aggressive, energetic punk riffs by Studente provide the zest and energy needed to get listeners on their feet., The fiery opening riff of "Cursed" evokes an angry Nirvana, as the band showcases their ability to write serious tracks like "Breathless", "Helpless", and "Drain Me", which delve into the vulnerabilities of their emotions. The basslines by Mayo are dark and eerie, while Sherwood's drumming builds the tempo with each chord struck by Studenete's skilled hand on the guitar. "Get Away" exemplifies a powerful metal riff combined with captivating pop vocals that are both catchy and memorable. "Reach Out" is the heaviest track on the album, featuring unsettling lyrics, a dirty riff, and a combination of Studenete's sweet voice and harsh screams that reflect the personal hell the narrator has experienced.

Lillith's Army presents thirteen tracks that capture a personal journey through angst and determination, showcasing strong songwriting and musicianship rooted in fresh punk and grunge, guaranteed to leave listeners headbanging.
