Tour News: Blues festival Bournefest Announces Full Lineup

Bournefest 2025  have announced the full Lineup for their upcoming Festival on Saturday, October 18th in Sittingbourne, Kent.  Bournefest has welcomed some of the best in Blues, Rock & Roots for the past six years since 2019. 

Rockin' Roots Events presents the festival with a declaration "for another sensational lineup of National and International Acts", according to the supplementary press release



 Promoter of Rockin Roots Events, Mark Matthews comments on the event:

“I am massively looking forward to hosting Bournefest 2025. Bournefest stands each year as a prominent fixture on our calendar for The Bourne Music Club. Each year delivering a lineup of exceptional national and international talent. This October marks 10 years since I started promoting live music, and we are celebrating the occasion with an absolutely awesome schedule of events. Bournefest 2025 will feature a compelling lineup of quality talent.

Some of the acts announced include critically acclaimed blues rock guitarist Ally Venables headlining the show, followed by Southern rockers Hippies & Cowboys, and lastly UK blues rockers Big Wolf Band and The Della Grants.


Ally Venable is the critically acclaimed Texas -based blues rock guitarist and vocalist Ally Venable will release her highly anticipated new studio album ‘Money & Power’ via Ruf Records on Friday 18th April 2025.

Venable aims to exceed expectations with her new release, after carving out her own path in the past year. Ally Venable’s sixth release, Money & Power, aims to create a statement of intent for women guitarists from around the world.

Money & Power is such a strong statement, especially for women,” says the award-winning Texas gunslinger of her Nashville-recorded new release, on which Ally is joined by guests Shemekia Copeland and Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram.


 


“All the songs on this album showcase the theme of what it truly means to be a force to be reckoned with. I want this record to wake people up,” Ally adds

The follow-up to 2023’s acclaimed Real Gone aims to reach the same heady heights as it hit #1 on the Billboard Blues Charts. Ally is rated amongst the best young singer-songwriters in American roots, earning praise from Classic Rock and Total Guitar Magazine. In February 2024, Ally entered the studio to record the Money & Power sessions, with producer/drummer Tom Hambridge pushing through the doors of Nashville’s famous Soundstage Studios. 


Hippies and Cowboys is a rock ’ n' soul band from Nashville, TN. The band aims to bring back a taste of southern rock, blues, and soul. The sound blends influences from the likes of Booker T & The MG’s, Otis Redding, and Marvin Gaye, to Aerosmith, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Eagles. 

Their earlier releases were recorded at the iconic studios of Muscle Shoals, Alabama. This music was captured on the album Live At Fox & Locke and released on vinyl in October 2023.


The band entered  Purple House studio in Lieper’s Fork TN, later that same year. From those sessions, they recorded their first studio release, an EP of six songs called ‘Fork In The Road’, released on vinyl, CD, & digital late 2024.

   



Big Wolf Band formed in Birmingham in 2014 by acclaimed guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Jonathan Earp and bass player Mick Jeynes. With Tim Jones on drums, Justin Johnson on guitar and Robin Fox on keys, Big Wolf Band are on the rise, breaking the Top five of the best blues bands in the UK via the UK Blues Awards in 2023 and 2024, receiving multiple nominations in various categories.Big Wolf Band has developed a strong reputation as a solid blues act, particularly for their live performances.


Big Wolf Band haver received airplay from reputable radio stations like  Radio 2  Planet Rock, HRH radio, FM radio across Europe, Australia and the USA and a wide range of international podcasts and internet radio stations. They have also received positive reviews of their albums across the globe. Big Wolf Band started their biggest headline tour in 2024, extensively touring the UK and Europe. "Rebel's Journey", the third Big Wolf Band studio album was released worldwide on 19th April 2024 to much acclaim with the album reaching Number 1 in the Amazon Best Selling Blues Chart, Amazon Hot New Releases and most recently Number 1 in the IBBA chart for May 2024. Several tracks are being added to Joe Bonamassa’s Spotify Playlist “Cutting Edge Blues” and “Ultimate Blues Rock.”  They are still touring extensively across the UK.

The Della Grants are an English band, whose self-penned songs blend between Blues, Rock, and Americana. Since their inception in 2014, they have made a name for themselves among industry professionals and fellow musicians alike for their song writing ability and on-stage performances.

 Rockin’ Roots Events Presents Bournefest 2025 will be on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, at The Appleyard (The Bourne Music Club), Avenue Of Remembrance, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 4DE.

Doors will open at 2pm, and food and drinks will be available.
