Italian symphonic death metal band Genus Ordinis Dei returns with their explosive live album 'Eternal Live', released through Eclipse Records.

The album covers part of their European Tour in November 2024, which supported German Symphonic metal band Xandria and Norwegian Gothic metal band Sirenia. The tour showcases the emotive growls of vocalist Nick K, whose guitar harmonies with fellow guitarist Tommy Monticelli create compelling music. Drummer Nico Pedralli completes the lineup with his thunderous drumming. The band's blends of ethereal symphonies, intertwined with stirring melodies, and aggressive vocals are captured on this eight-song release.
The tour follows the release of their 2023 album, "The Beginning," and includes performances of tracks like "Aertunus," "Changing Star," and "Genesis."

Genus Ordinis Dei began their illustrious career in Crema, Italy, in 2009, following a chance meeting with Lacuna Coil Producer Marco Coti Zeda. They have since gone on to release four studio albums, supporting Lacuna Coil, Evergrey and Jinjer on tour. The band have also featured Lacuna Coil vocalist Cristina Scabbia and Xandria Vocalist Ambre Vourvahis, who features on this live release.

It begins with an explosive performance of 'Aertunus,' featuring extensionist lyrics, resounding symphonies, and powerful vocals. Nick K is an engaging frontman who invites the audience to join in. The tribal percussive rhythms and mesmerising guitar play are sleek and efficient, getting those heads banging. The haunting screams in "Edict" create goosebumps, accompanied by eerie gothic symphonies and hellish howls. The performance aims to move the crowd with the poignant and emotional melodies of "Changing Star" and "Genesis. The performance isn't complete without an unforgettable cover of 'Hail and Kill' by Manowar, with added growls.

Ambre Vourvahis proves the complementary vocalist to Nick K's growls on 'Eternal Cycle' and 'Salem', before the catchy refrains on 'Fire' end this show. Genus Ordinis Dei continues to endear themselves to an international audience with breathtaking symphonic metal and sombre lyrics on life, death and all between.

'Eternal Live' is released on June 13th through Eclipse Records via all major streaming platforms.
