COLD 2 THE TOUCH follows Angel Du$t's critically acclaimed2023 album BRAND NEW SOUL, which drew praise from fans and critics alike, including Pitchfork, Stereogum, Uproxx, Kerrang, BrooklynVegan, Consequence, Revolver, and many more), and finds the group reuniting with producer/engineer Brian McTernan (Turnstile, Balance & Composure, Bane, Converge) who recorded much of their early material. Its also the first release with new members Nick Lewis and Jim Carroll (also of American Nightmare, Suicide File, The Hope Conspiracy and more), and it features guest appearances from Scott Vogel (Terror), Wes Eisold (American Nightmare, Cold Cave), Patrick Cozens (Restraining Order) Frank Carter, and Taylor Young (Twitching Tongues, Deadbody).

Lead vocalist Justin Tripp said of the upcoming release. “This is who I am, and I speak for the band too: these are people who are always going to be playing aggressive rock & roll. It’s happening whether you like it or not. I’m me, and if you get in my way, I’m gonna crush you.”

Who are Angel Du$t?

Formed in 2013, the Baltimore-based quintet originally comprised former members of Turnstile and Trapped Under. However, they have undergone a slew of lineup changes since, with lead vocalist Justin Tripp the sole survivor. The band plays aggressive rock 'n' roll that caught my ears. They deliver fast, sharp riffs accompanied by palpable vocals. Angel Dust has released five albums to date, including the upcoming Cold 2 The Touch. Another interesting fact is that they were once signed to Roadrunner Records and have received high praise from notable publications like Kerrang! and Loudwire.

Angel Du$t are touring worldwide in support of COLD 2 THE TOUCH, kicking off on 26th February with a free record-release evening in Baltimore, followed by aNorth American tour. See full itinerary below.

EP Review: Virtue in Vain-Nothing is All I Am

CoverArtwork Courtesy of San Pr Words Written by Anselm Anderson Today marks the final chapter of an emphatic trilogy by British Metalcore Heavyweights , Virtue in Vain . Nothing is All I Am ' is the third instalment exploring human emotions and psyche.  The trio began their journey in 2015 with their debut EP,  For All You Know is the Mask I Wore ,  focusing on the loss of identity, before 2019's   Dusk//Dawn looking at the consequences of a terrible night out, whilst 'Nothing is All I Am ' focuses on rebuilding a fractured mind. The trio of lead vocalist Hywel Thomas, guitarist Mason Williams, and drummer Daniel Bryant hail from South Wales deliver another dose of metalcore that hits like a sledgehammer to the head. The band replicates what many other British bands of the genre do, but they bring a story behind their music. Their emotional cries blend with powerful riffs and down-tuned instrumentals that resonate long after the music has stopped. Their...
