Alcohol-free and Mental Support Start-up Raven Records Announces Appearance at Download Festival 2025

The London-based heavy metal record shop, coffee shop, and alcohol-free bar Raven Records has confirmed it will appear at Download Festival 2025. There, it will host a dedicated Raven Records festival pop-up featuring a selection of metal music, merchandise, a wide range of alcohol-free drinks, and metal-inspired coffee.

In addition to their shops and Bar, Raven Records has announced an events programme, including Heavy Metal Therapy meetings, Satanic Recovery meetings,  a Slam poetry competition and workshops,  Download‘s best battle jacket competition, meet-ups and sewing workshops, as well as  late-night DJ sets from DJ Black Meadows.

The event marks a keen turn in the festival's history, as it will be the first time a record shop features on the Download Festival roster and the first time addiction recovery and mental health support will be provided for festival attendees as part of Download‘s upgraded onsite wellness offering.

Raven Records was founded in 2023 by Chloe Marlow and Ben Dean.  It has quickly established itself for its approach to metal culture. Co-founder Ben Dean told a Press Release, “We created Raven Records for fans who want to experience heavy music without needing alcohol to feel part of the scene. It‘s about staying fully present, connecting with the music in your raw emotional state, and not compromising on the intensity or heaviness of the music and lifestyle."

Co-founder Chloe Marlow adds: “
We‘re looking forward to bringing Raven Records to the festival and showcasing what we are all about. Our slogan, ’Join the conspiracy,‘ is more than just a tagline — it reflects our ongoing commitment to building a community: a true conspiracy of ravens.”

Download promoter Kamran Haq commented: “We‘re really happy to have Raven Records onboard this year, as we think it‘s so important to support independent businesses and for non-drinkers at Download to have a safe space. We have several no/low-alcohol offerings at Download, and we‘re always looking to build on that, as well as our onsite wellness offerings.”

The Raven Records festival pop-up will also feature:

A selection of metal vinyl, CDs and books, including limited edition products.

Official band merchandise, including clothing, patches and memorabilia.
A full menu of 0.0% ABV drinks, including beers, ciders and alcohol-free spirits, CBD drinks, and botanical mood enhancers.

Metal-themed coffee – brewed black, from Concept Cafes Coffee and Black Coffee Worship.

Festival goers are encouraged to visit the Raven Records pop-up located in District X.

CoverArtwork Courtesy of San Pr Words Written by Anselm Anderson Today marks the final chapter of an emphatic trilogy by British Metalcore Heavyweights , Virtue in Vain . Nothing is All I Am ' is the third instalment exploring human emotions and psyche.  The trio began their journey in 2015 with their debut EP,  For All You Know is the Mask I Wore ,  focusing on the loss of identity, before 2019's   Dusk//Dawn looking at the consequences of a terrible night out, whilst 'Nothing is All I Am ' focuses on rebuilding a fractured mind. The trio of lead vocalist Hywel Thomas, guitarist Mason Williams, and drummer Daniel Bryant hail from South Wales deliver another dose of metalcore that hits like a sledgehammer to the head. The band replicates what many other British bands of the genre do, but they bring a story behind their music. Their emotional cries blend with powerful riffs and down-tuned instrumentals that resonate long after the music has stopped. Their...
