Grunge icons Alter Bridge have unveiled details for their upcoming self-titled eighth studio album, due for release next year via Napalm Records. Alter Bridge will be released on January 9th, 2026.

Producer Michael Elvis' Baskette will once again take over the reins as the quartet recorded the album over two months at the legendary 5150 Studio in California and Elvis’ recording studio in Florida.

Alter Bridge's latest album features 12 brand-new tracks that highlight some of their most iconic musical moments. Songs like "Rue The Day," "Disregarded," and "Scales Are Falling" evoke the band's earlier hits. "Trust In Me" showcases Myles Kennedy and guitarist Mark Tremonti sharing vocal duties, with Myles singing the verses and Mark taking over the chorus. The roles are reversed in "Tested And Able," where Mark handles the verses and Myles leads the choruses. "Hang By A Thread" is likely to become a fan favorite, reminiscent of some of the band's biggest hits. The album concludes with "Slave To Master," an epic signature track and the longest song the band has recorded to date.

To coincide with the release, Alter Bridge has announced details of its 31-date European Tour. The What Lies Within tour will kick off on January 15th in Germany, before completing its worldwide journey in Nottingham on March 5th. Alter Bridge will be joined by fellow grunge bands, Daughtry and Sevendust.
All tickets and VIP packages for the upcoming tour will go on public sale starting July 18. More information can be found at www.alterbridge.com.

ALTER BRIDGE will reunite for a special performance in 2025. The band will host a rare acoustic show on October 1 in Nashville, TN, to support the Tremonti Family Charity Golf Outing. This event was started by guitarist Mark Tremonti to benefit the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS), an organisation that holds personal significance for Mark, as his daughter Stella was born with Down syndrome. The golf outing aims to raise funds for NDSS, which engages grassroots advocates at the federal, state, and local levels and creates resources to assist individuals with Down syndrome, their families, and caregivers throughout their lives. These resources cover important topics such as education, employment, health and wellness, and ageing. Tickets for the event can be purchased at:

EP Review: Virtue in Vain-Nothing is All I Am

CoverArtwork Courtesy of San Pr Words Written by Anselm Anderson Today marks the final chapter of an emphatic trilogy by British Metalcore Heavyweights , Virtue in Vain . Nothing is All I Am ' is the third instalment exploring human emotions and psyche.  The trio began their journey in 2015 with their debut EP,  For All You Know is the Mask I Wore ,  focusing on the loss of identity, before 2019's   Dusk//Dawn looking at the consequences of a terrible night out, whilst 'Nothing is All I Am ' focuses on rebuilding a fractured mind. The trio of lead vocalist Hywel Thomas, guitarist Mason Williams, and drummer Daniel Bryant hail from South Wales deliver another dose of metalcore that hits like a sledgehammer to the head. The band replicates what many other British bands of the genre do, but they bring a story behind their music. Their emotional cries blend with powerful riffs and down-tuned instrumentals that resonate long after the music has stopped. Their...
