American rock band Little King has announced the details of their upcoming eighth studio album, Lente Viviente, due for release in September 2025. The new record features seven tracks.
The lineup of The Little King studio has changed since their last release in 2019. They have added drummer Tony Bojorquez from San Carlos, Mexico, to their team. Bassist and Cellist David Hamilton, who contributed cello on Amuse De Q (2021) and Occam’s Foil (2019), has played with the band live in recent years. Founding member Ryan Rosoff returns on guitar and vocals, and Curfew Vocalist Laura Sadie Bette adds backing vocals.
Lente Viviente (Spanish for “Living Lens,” a play on Rosoff’s Video Memoir production company, LivingLens Memoirs). The album explores themes of memory and presence, perception and truth. The songs reflect on various topics, including childhood and enduring friendship in tracks like “Catch and Release” and “Dawn Villa.” They also delve into immigration and identity in “Who’s Illegal?”, as well as ageing and addiction in “Pass Through Filters.” Additionally, the album examines the relationship between strength and vulnerability in “Kindness for Weakness.”
At its core, the album poses questions about how we view ourselves—and one another—through the ever-changing lens of time, emotion, and experience. With dynamic arrangements and textured performances, Lente Viviente presents both personal and universal themes, offering an honest portrayal of life’s sharp edges and soft light.
Lente Viviente was recorded from April to June 2025 at Cimamusic in Tucson, AZ, by Ricky Wascher Tavares, marking it as the first Little King record to be tracked outside of Texas. The album is being mixed at Command Space Audio in Los Angeles by Daniel Salcido, who also mixed 'Amuse De Q' in 2021, as well as the recent singles “Amber Waves GoodBye” and “Silver Tongue” (both released in 2023). The artwork for the album is being created by Savannah Maher.
More updates are coming soon, including the release date of the first single, videos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage from the making of Lente Viviente. Stay tuned to all social media @littlekingtunes (FB, IG, YouTube) and www.littlekingtunes.com for more info, lyrics, and song clips.
