Wild Kingdom Records has announced the signing of renowned guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Philip Shouse, who is poised to release his eagerly anticipated debut EP, “Side 1.”

After decades spent sharing stages with some of music‘s most iconic names across country, rock, and heavy metal, Shouse steps into the spotlight as frontman with this dynamic five-track release. On Side 1, he takes the role of lead vocalist, guitarist, bassist, and producer, showcasing his depth as a songwriter and musical versatility.

The record begins with "Run Away From You" and "The Naked Empress," two tracks that feature a swagger reminiscent of the Rolling Stones along with sharp power-pop hooks. "It Gets Better" highlights Shouse's melodic instincts and draws inspiration from Beatles-style pop sensibility. Meanwhile, "Won’t Let Go Again" and the closing track, "Time Bomb," combine acoustic and electric tones with dynamic shifts that evoke the cinematic qualities of Led Zeppelin and Heart.

The Making of Philip Shouse

Shouse has a rich musical background that extends beyond his studio work. Since 2019, he has served as the guitarist for the legendary German metal band Accept, touring internationally and contributing to multiple albums. His extensive career also includes collaborations with rock icons such as Gene Simmons and the late Ace Frehley of KISS, The Dead Daisies vocalist John Corabi and Rodney Atkins, allowing him to perform and record alongside country and rock royalty.

The Alabama native, based in Nashville, co-founded and co-hosts Thee Rock N Roll Residency, a well-known jam night that has featured guests such as Alice Cooper, Robin Zander from Cheap Trick, Lizzy Hale from Halestorm, and Roger Glover from Deep Purple. Additionally, he co-founded Rock N Röll, a Swedish non-alcoholic beer company that combines Scandinavian innovation with rock ‘n’ roll. A lifelong student of classic rock and a self-proclaimed Beatles devotee, Shouse embodies the essence of modern rock culture by seamlessly blending respect for tradition with bold creativity. His career showcases both technical skill and a passion for preserving the authentic energy of rock music.
