Folk Singer/Songwriter Lillian King has announced that her debut album," In Your Long Shadow," will be released on October 24th via Pronounced Kroog, with its first single, “Tiber Creek,” arriving yesterday. “Tiber Creek” was written shortly after the passing of her father and offers a haunting look into the album’s emotional aspect from a simple walk through Washington, D.C., into something cathartic. Her father’s routine walks to the hospital along the National Mall, passing memorials, monuments, and the hidden path of Tiber Creek buried beneath the city, grounds the song’s striking imagery. Lillian’s voice, rich and wistful, holds a gentle power in every line, capturing reflections on place, memory, and how certain moments stay with us long after everything else shifts.

Lillian King teamed up with Indie rock veteran Spencer Krug to write and record 'Tiber Creek', having been introduced backstage at a concert last year. Signing her to his label, Pronounced Kroog, was instrumental, but Lillian’s voice carries the story, supplemented by  Robert Salazar (drums) and Nick DePrey (keys), with producer Jack Henry capturing the haunting atmospherics.

The track's mood is conveyed through various instruments such as dusty drums, upright bass, and a creaky piano, shaping Lillian's evocative vocals. The arrangement allows space for quiet moments, evoking the bittersweet essence of mid-winter reflection. It's indie-folk in its purest form, reminiscent of the timeless quality of Bill Callahan or Sharon Van Etten, yet with a distinct wind-swept edge that's uniquely Lillian.

Listeners who enjoy atmospheric folk and melancholic songwriting, such as Mazzy Star, Big Thief, and Rosali, will find much to appreciate here. Lillian portrays an artist who exhibits a more mature approach to music than her debut suggests.“Tiber Creek” is not your typical introduction to a new artist. It's a quiet arrival, the kind you only notice after it settles in your bones. With In Your Long Shadow, Lillian King is clearly embarking on a significant journey. With the legacy of Krug behind her and songs that blend vulnerability with impressive craftsmanship, she is moving into a new realm of artistry. “Tiber Creek” marks the beginning of what is likely to be a steadily rising trajectory in her career.

CoverArtwork Courtesy of San Pr Words Written by Anselm Anderson Today marks the final chapter of an emphatic trilogy by British Metalcore Heavyweights , Virtue in Vain . Nothing is All I Am ' is the third instalment exploring human emotions and psyche.  The trio began their journey in 2015 with their debut EP,  For All You Know is the Mask I Wore ,  focusing on the loss of identity, before 2019's   Dusk//Dawn looking at the consequences of a terrible night out, whilst 'Nothing is All I Am ' focuses on rebuilding a fractured mind.
