Punk rock band Rise Against returns with their first album in four years with the release of "Ricochet"   on August 15th, due on Loma Vista Recordings.

The Twelve tracker was produced by GRAMMY®-winner Catherine Marks (Boygenius, Foals, Manchester Orchestra, St. Vincent) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Paramore, Queens of the Stone Age, The Killers), In their new release, Rise Against urges listeners to reflect on important questions before making decisions about their lives.'Ricochet' is a record massive in sound, rooted in unification, but is centred around positive change. It all starts with oneself, and on the searing lead single, 'I Want It All,' Vocalist Tim McIlrath comments on the new release

“The algorithm wants our attention so it is designed to make us laugh or cry, but mostly, it wants us to be angry, because that is how it spreads the furthest. Like a pile of marbles, hit hard. Who benefits from our anger? Questions we don't ask, as we fire away.”

"I Want It All" follows the recent singles "Nod," which has been described by Rolling Stone as a “particularly potent rallying cry for the moment” and by VICE as “the anthem we need right now.” Additionally, the song "Prizefighter" highlights the internal struggle between creating art, maintaining independence, and addressing the demands of our quickly changing attention spans. Throughout the rest of "Ricochet", Rise Against explores loneliness and isolation within our community and the consequences of our words and actions. Band members Tim McIlrath (lead vocals/guitar), Joe Principe (bass/vocals), Zach Blair (guitar/vocals) and Brandon Barnes (drums) have written a rallying call to arms for us to save the world from a constant state of emergency. It's been four years since 2021's "Nowhere Generation," but the Chicago natives are back with their progressive politics and outspoken views. The band have achieved multi-gold and platinum hits

This summer, Rise Against return to the road on tha back of the album announcement, for an impressive EU/UK tour and festival headliner run in June, followed by Vans Warped Tour, and dozens of arena and amphitheatre shows in the US. EP Review: Virtue in Vain-Nothing is All I Am

CoverArtwork Courtesy of San Pr Words Written by Anselm Anderson Today marks the final chapter of an emphatic trilogy by British Metalcore Heavyweights , Virtue in Vain . Nothing is All I Am ' is the third instalment exploring human emotions and psyche.  The trio began their journey in 2015 with their debut EP,  For All You Know is the Mask I Wore ,  focusing on the loss of identity, before 2019's   Dusk//Dawn looking at the consequences of a terrible night out, whilst 'Nothing is All I Am ' focuses on rebuilding a fractured mind. The trio of lead vocalist Hywel Thomas, guitarist Mason Williams, and drummer Daniel Bryant hail from South Wales deliver another dose of metalcore that hits like a sledgehammer to the head. The band replicates what many other British bands of the genre do, but they bring a story behind their music. Their emotional cries blend with powerful riffs and down-tuned instrumentals that resonate long after the music has stopped. Their...
